Unusual WW11 2nd pattern Commando Knife S/n 03485
Here is a 2nd pattern commando knife with a 6.75" double-edged blade, and it is 11.5" overall
The knife has a steel crossguard, a brass knurled grip, and a stamped broad arrow 4 on the hilt
The broad arrow 4 is found on John Clarke's knives, but the knurling is not like a Clarke's, and it differs from a standard 2nd pattern; it also has the crimp marks found on Wilkinson's pommels. It has its original sheath S/n 03485
